DAVID Hayward took home two Australian titles and broke a record at the recent 33rd National Deaf Tenpin Bowling Championships.
The event was bowled at Ballarat over the Easter weekend and the Orange bowler excelled.
He took out the mixed seniors’ championship with a three-game series of 664. It was the first time Hayward was eligible to bowl in the seniors’ event after turning 50 last September.
He rolled games of 234, 189 and 241 for his 664 total and the win.
Hayward took out the masters championship for the third time, after previously claiming the title in 1996 and 2003.
